This project involved demolishing 150m of existing timber wharf and re building a concrete one in its place. The construction of a wharf involves many challenges not usually associated with standard building practice. All works were conducted over water and barges were not used due to large expense. The piling was driven from the deck as demolition occurred and this presented structural stability and safety issues that Vince was closely involved with.”
