The Demolition of the Missenden Building

Client: Sydney University

Description: A 5 storey brick, concrete and timber framed building, was demolished adjacent an operating hospistal and university campus. The demolition scope included the divsersion of critical electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and fibre optic services. Prior to demolition of the building the internal hazardous materials including asbestos was removed. The demolition was undertaken by large tracked excavators fitted with hydralic "pulveriser" attachments.
